Detailed Notes
You will need to remove the stock turbo from your car. The coolant lines running to the turbo can be pinched off. We suggest doing this to prevent significant coolant loss during the install. Observing the photo below, You will need to transfer the OEM Wastegate Actuator(1), OEM Bypass Valve (2), and OEM oil tank (3), from the OEM turbo to your VB500.

Be sure to install BOTH supplied gaskets on either side of the oil tank spacer (see photo below)

You will be replacing the hard OEM coolant and oil lines with our line kit. The way you install these lines is critical for fitment and operation. The picture below shows the line routing from the top of the turbo.
The coolant lines are outlined in blue and the oil feed line is outlined in yellow. They need to be oriented very closely to this picture in order to have clearance during install.

This is a view from the side of the turbo with the oil tank installed. Note the final routing of the lines. Also note the heat shield was trimmed. This is required to clear the oil feed line. We strongly suggest trimming and installing the heat shield. It is not recommended to remove the heat shield.

The lower coolant line will attach to the barbed adapter fitting included with the turbo. See the photo below- the arrow is pointing towards the end you will install the adapter fitting to and then to the coolant line on the side of the turbo facing the rear of the car.

Below is a view of the braided turbo line attached to the adapter fitting and OEM lower coolant line

The other braided coolant line will run up to the upper OEM coolant hose, located at the top of the engine timing cover. Use a barbed adapter here as well to attach the braided line on the side of the turbo facing the front of the car. See photo below.

Lastly, the oil feed line will be installed to the factory oil feed port on the timing cover. The oil line (1) and the upper coolant line (2) are both pictured in the photo below. Note the routing of the lines and how they overlap each other. This area is tight, so ensure clearance on both lines.

We suggest priming the turbo by cranking the engine over before starting it. Leak check the turbo area for oil leaks immediately after starting. A light amount of smoke is not abnormal due to the manufacturing oils being burned off. Enjoy your new turbo and please reach out to us if you have any questions!
